How to add a medication with a custom cycle?

If your medication has a custom cycle schedule, use the following tips to add it with ease

Updated over a week ago

You are able to add a medication with a custom schedule but only when the medication is added as a new entry. Existing medications will only be able to use the preprogrammed options when editing the schedule.

  1. Open the Medisafe app and tap on the + icon to add your med

  2. Enter your medication's name and either continue with your manual entry or select from the dropdown menu of med options

  3. When asked "How often do you take it?" select "On a recurring cycle"

  4. If one of the preprogrammed options is not applicable to you, tap on 'Set Custom Cycle' on the bottom of the list

  5. Use the 2 scroll bars to set the Take Days and Break Days then tap 'Next'

  6. Confirm if you need reminders for placebo pills on your "break days" (tap Yes or No)

  7. Set the cycle's start date

    1. This can be a past date if needed

  8. Set the time you take the dose and adjust the number of pills on the dose if necessary then tap 'Next'

  9. Fill in any other optional info such as treatment duration, refill reminders or instructions for the med

  10. Tap on 'Save'

You will only be able to view up to 30 days in the past and future on the Home screen, in the event you are trying to look at your future doses scheduled.
